The Apple Inspector explores the experience of breast cancer on a family, told through the voice of the daughter, a young girl who is quite self assured and even a little precocious at times. I love the strange logic and directness of kids. I channelled this into a story that is honest, but lightened with the boundless optimism children posses.
Each year Momaya Press run an international short story competition and publish an Annual Review featuring short stories selected by a panel of judges from the publishing industry.
